Cookie notice
Last updated 6 August 2026. This page explains what we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind.
The short version
Nothing that tracks you loads until you say yes. When you first arrive you are asked to choose. If you choose essential only, no analytics or advertising cookies are set at all — we simply cannot see how you found us.
Your current choice: checking…
What we store, and when
Always on — essential
These make the site work. They store no personal information and cannot be switched off.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| ws_consent | Remembers the cookie choice you made, so you are not asked on every page | Until you clear it |
| ws_design | Remembers your visualiser selections — product, colour, style and glass — so they are still there if you come back | Until you clear it |
Both are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies, but the same rules apply and we treat them the same way.
The photograph you upload to the visualiser is a special case: it stays in your own browser and is never sent to us unless you submit the enquiry form.
Only if you accept — analytics and advertising
These tell us how many people found the site, which pages they read, and which advertising brought them here. Without them we are advertising blind, which is why we ask. They load only after you press Accept all.
| Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Counts visits and enquiries so we can see which pages work and which do not | Up to 2 years |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Tells us when an enquiry came from an advert, so we know what our advertising is actually buying | Up to 3 months |
Both providers are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK we rely on the safeguards described in our privacy notice.
Changing your mind
Use the button above at any time — it clears your saved choice and asks you again the next time you land on the site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking essential storage will stop the visualiser and postcode checker remembering anything.
Questions
Email hello@windowstandard.co.uk and we will answer plainly.
Before this page goes live. The tables above describe Google Analytics and Meta Pixel because those are what the site is wired for. If you connect neither, delete that section — and if you add anything else, a chat widget, a heatmap tool, a call tracker, it has to be listed here before it loads.
