WindowStandard is a national brand, but we do not claim to cover the whole country until we do. Each region opens once we have found and vetted an installer good enough to carry it. Check your postcode for an instant answer.
We are not an installer. We find the good ones, check them, and hand your enquiry to a single local specialist — never to four of them at once.

Indicative only, based on typical installations. We do not sell the frames, so we have no reason to steer you toward one material over another.
Our assessment, for guidance only, not independently verified. Security and thermal performance depend on specification and installation.
More than anything, on the size and number of your openings — and it varies a good deal by region, which is why we will not pretend a single national figure means anything. Your price comes from your matched installer after a free survey, itemised line by line, in writing, with no obligation to proceed. If you want a steer before that, ask them on the phone; a decent installer will give you a ballpark without making you book a visit.
Yes and no, in that order. The survey costs you nothing and there is no obligation at any point. You get a measured, itemised quotation to keep and compare. If you would rather see the result before anyone visits, start with Design Before You Buy — upload a photo and see the finished house first.
A whole-house replacement is typically a matter of days rather than weeks, depending on how many openings there are and what access is like. Your installer confirms the schedule in writing before anything is ordered, so you are not guessing.
For most homes, replacing windows and doors falls under permitted development and needs no application. Conservation areas, Article 4 directions and listed buildings are the exceptions and have their own rules — heritage-style frames usually satisfy planners where standard ones would not. Your installer will confirm which category your property falls into at survey.
There is no single right answer, which is why the material comparison above sets out the honest trade-offs. We do not sell frames, so we have nothing to steer you toward. Broadly: uPVC is the most cost-effective, aluminium gives the slimmest sightlines and the largest glass area, and timber suits period and conservation properties where appearance leads. We recommend what suits the property.
No, and we say so plainly. WindowStandard is a national brand that finds and vets local installers, lets you see your own home with new windows on it before anyone visits, and passes your enquiry to one firm rather than selling it to four. Your contract for the work is with that installer, and their guarantee and paperwork come from them.
We are opening area by area as each one gets a vetted local installer. The postcode checker above gives you an instant answer for your own address rather than a call back.
